FIELD: medicine, anesthesiology. SUBSTANCE: subarachnoid anesthesia is made and if the signs for restoration of sensitivity become available in postoperative period one should carry out a prolonged blockade of lumbar plexus by an inguinal access with installation of perineural catheter in fascial case of femoral vasculonervous bundle from the site of a needle's in- puncture being 2-4 cm below inguinal ligament and 1 cm outwards against a femoral artery. Then it is moved 3-6 cm upwards in perineural bottom of vasculonervous bundle after preliminary hydraulic preparation of a fascial case. The method provides more safe and efficient postoperative anesthesia. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 ex
