FIELD: manufacture of building materials; utilization of waste bitumen-containing materials. SUBSTANCE: method consists in forming stack of cut pieces in cassette in vertical position, placing this cassette in boiler for thermal treatment, draining bitumen and removing the base; stack is formed at clearance between cut pieces ensuring circulation of liquid bitumen in heat treatment medium. Then, preliminary heating of boiler is performed and medium for heat treatment is formed; this medium is inert relative to bitumen and base at temperature below melting point and not above boiling point of bitumen in which cassette with cut pieces is placed. Vertical stack of cut pieces is formed by means of rods or hooks; clearance between cut pieces is ensured at ratio of 1:6 to 1:1 relative to thickness of these pieces. Preliminary heating of boiler is effected by heating it with the aid of hot air medium heated to temperature of 100 to 160 C with the aid of thermal registers; heating medium is formed from liquid bitumen poured into boiler after preliminary heating before placing the cassette; heat treatment is effected at constant temperature of 160 to 210 C continued for 1 to 3 hours. EFFECT: optimization of heat- and mass-exchange process in processing waste roll materials. 4 cl, 7 dwg
