FIELD: non-ferrous metallurgy, in particular, affinage of platinum metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing additional purification of crude salt solution of trans-dichlorodiamminopalladium from contaminants by treating with orthophosphate solution at consumption rate of 0.03-0.05 g of phosphate-ion per gram of palladium. Method allows irreversible losses of platinum with refined palladium to be reduced. EFFECT: reduced labor intensity, decreased production costs and improved quality of ready product. 2 tbl, 1 ex
