FIELD: aluminizing of metal surfaces. SUBSTANCE: method involves preheating articles to temperature of 150-200 C; applying 0.9-1.5 mm thick layer of compound to article surface, with compound being formed as suspension comprising powdered aluminum and ammonium chloride; holding articles at said temperature until complete drying of suspension; heating articles to temperature of 860-900 C and holding for 2.5-3.5 hours at said temperature. Compound further comprises ethyl silicate. Compound components are used in the following ratio, wt%: finely dispersed aluminum 40-41; ammonium chloride 0.5-1; ethyl silicate 58-59. EFFECT: improved quality of coat and increased corrosion and abrasion resistance, reduced usage of basic solid materials, reduced consumption of power, decreased calorizing time. 1 tbl, 1 ex
