FIELD: metallurgy; thermo-chemical treatment of metals and alloys; aeronautical engineering; chemical industry; shipbuilding; mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes saturation of articles in powder-like mixture containing boron carbide, silicon, ammonium chloride and copper-containing component. Saturation is effected at temperature of 600-1200 C in fluidized layer of powder-like mixture which contains additionally aluminum fluoride and corundum; used as copper-containing components is mixture of copper at the following relationship of components, mass-%: boron carbide, 5-35; silicon, 1-20; copper oxide, 0.05-2; ammonium chloride, 0.05-1; aluminum fluoride, 0.1-05; corundum, 41.5-93.8; prior to saturation, article is heated in fluidized layer in atmosphere of ammonium to 450550 C and is held at heat for 15-25 minutes, after which gaseous products are evacuated and article is cooled after saturation. EFFECT: enhanced wear-, heat- and corrosion-resistance.
