FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the application of an aluminum coating on an iron powder. Fill the container with a mixture containing iron powder, fine aluminum powder, aluminizing activator and one component from the group consisting of aluminum oxide and silicon oxide, remove air from the tank, heat the mixture in the oven to a temperature of 600–750 °C with the duration of heating at the rate of not less than 1 hour per 100 mm of the tank section, after which isothermal aging is carried out for 1–4 hours, cooling the sealed container in air and at least 5 times the magnetic separation of the obtained coated powder. Coated powder has a fluidity of 54 to 57 s/50 g, a bulk density of 2.5 to 2.57 g/cm3 and a coating thickness of 2.5–5.0 microns.
EFFECT: application of a diffusion aluminum coating on the metal powder and obtaining a high-quality homogeneous solid metal coating on the iron powder.
