FIELD: manufacture of non-slip floor covering from minerals and ceramics. SUBSTANCE: process deals with manufacture of non-slip floor covering from native stone, thin ceramic articles, artificial stone or ceramics. Proposed process includes irradiation with pulse laser radiation under which microcraters are formed on surface of floor covering due to directed action of laser pulses. Said microcraters show properties of vacuum- suction are invisible to human eye and have static distribution. Then surface of floor covering or plates produced by such laser structurization is subjected to purposeful hydromechanical machining which consists in spraying of liquid on surface of floor covering or plates structurized by laser radiation at least twice. One spraying operation, as minimum, is intended for dissolution of particles on surface of microcraters which means their enlargement and last spraying operation is used to clean and/or neutralize surface of floor covering or plates from liquids sprayed before.
