SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to decorative lining coatings, particularly floor or wall coatings, comprising one or more layers and a cured top layer combining excellent anti-slip properties and abrasion resistance. A decorative lining coating comprising a base and a top layer covering the top surface of said base, wherein said top layer comprises: 40 to 80 wt.% of a cured binder (i) containing a polymer selected from the group consisting of epoxy resin, epoxy ester resin, vinyl ester resin, polyester, alkyd resin, polyamide, polyester amide, polyurethane, polyether, (meth)acrylate (co)polymer, vinyl (co)polymer, aminoplast resin and mixtures thereof; 0.5 to 25 wt.% of one or more types of micro-scale particles (ii) with volume median particle diameter (D50) of 1 to 50 mcm, as determined by measurement of laser scattering in accordance with ISO 13320; 0.1 to 20 wt.% of one or more compounds (iii) selected from the group consisting of organosilicon materials, fluorocarbons, fluorinated organosilicon materials, olefinic (co)polymers, natural waxes and synthetic waxes. Invention also relates to a method of production of such lining coatings.
