SOFA-BED (VERSIONS) Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

FIELD: furniture industry, in particular, production of furniture transformable from bed to sofa and vice versa.

SUBSTANCE: according to one version, sofa-bed has back of anatomical profile, bed part, seat with box for linen and transformation mechanism for transformation from sofa to bed and vice versa. Transformation mechanism imparts anatomical profile to back in both states of sofa-bed. Also, bed part may be used as seat, and seat belonging to this furniture may be detached and used as additional seat. According to other version, sofa has two parts of different widths, small and large, of identical transformation principle, as in the first version. Said parts are connected by angular portion to define angular sofa having back of anatomical profile in sofa and bed states, additional seating places or visitor sleeping places.

EFFECT: wider range of furniture kinds with improved consumer properties, reduced production costs, convenient use and increased versatility.
