FIELD: medicine, particularly, hand surgery, more specifically, treatment of pyo-destructive diseases of metacarpophalangeal articulations; applicable in treatment of said articulation dislocation. SUBSTANCE: device has bed and distraction unit. Bed is made ex tempora from plaster in the form of individual longet in physiological (or in other needed) position of extremity. Attached to bed external part is distraction unit in the form of rod with tightening member in the form of screw tension member, pulley, flexible rope, clamp with wire and fastening members. Method of device making consists in that individual plaster longet is made preliminarily according to operated extremity in physiological (or in other needed) position, to which distraction unit is secured. Operation of metacarpophalangeal articulation is performed, and at end of operation, steel wire is led through main phalanx of affected finger and secured in clamp. Device bed with distraction unit is fixed to forearm by bandage, and traction is effected by clamp with flexible rope connected via pulley with screw tension member. Invention provides for making device ensuring distraction on metacarpophalangeal articulation with minimal injury of operated hand and accessible for application in wide practice.
