SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for the treatment of brachymetacarpia by bone autoplasty. A transverse osteotomy of the shortened metacarpal bone in the middle third is performed, an autograft from the iliac crest is introduced into the diastasis. For fixation of autograft, a T-shaped reconstructive plate is used, which is fixed with at least two screws on each of the fragments of the elongated metacarpal bone. The wound is sutured in such a way as to cover the reconstructive plate with surrounding tissues, avoiding contact between the extensor tendon and the plate.

EFFECT: method provides a good functional and cosmetic result and the possibility of conducting a course of early development of movements in the fingers, aimed at preventing contractures of the fingers by lengthening one or more metacarpal bones with a bone autograft of the required length with simultaneous fixation of the latter in the interfragmental space of the elongated metacarpal bones with a reconstructive plate and screws.
