FIELD: medicine, anesthesiology, resuscitation. SUBSTANCE: the method deals with treating respiratory failure of noncardiogenic nature. At postoperation period one should constantly inhalationally introduce a surfactant-BL at the rate of 25 mg/h for 4-5 d for a patient on artificial pulmonary ventilation as a result of acute respiratory failure 30-40 min after the decrease of an oxygenation index being below 300 mm mercury column. The method enables to interrupt the syndrome of acute pulmonary lesion due to application of minimal doses of surfactant. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 ex
