FIELD: materials lifting facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed small-size hand winch has chain load mechanism, planetary reduction gear with planet pinions, brake mechanism with mechanical drive, and handle. Planet pinions of planetary reduction gear are installed on metal fluoroplastic bearings. According to invention, mechanical drive of brake mechanisms is made in form of two spring-loaded clutch members engaging with shaft-gear of brake mechanism. Clutch members are essentially two bushings with end face cams in form of large pitch double-start helical surface. Splines are made on one of clutch members to engage with spring-loaded pawl installed in handle. Brake engages through shaft-gear and planet pinions with drum by means of thrust ring.
