FIELD: mining industry, group of inventions applicable, mainly, in stoping of bedded deposits by systems of mining with longwalls and narrow strips along the strike with of use of shearers, chain conveyors and hydraulic power support. SUBSTANCE: shearer includes cutting part with auger, arm and auger lifting hydraulic jacks, feed part, dust suppression system, shearer driver trailer with control panel, conditioner with air hose brought to trailer and air intake spaced from shearer to side of fresh air incoming. Feed part is made in the form of electric motor with worm reducing gear and sprocket at outlet. Cutting part is made in the form of three electric motors built in bores of auger body and located round central planetary reducing gear arranged in central bore of auger body. Central planetary reducing gear has output shaft secured in arm bore. Located inside arm are electric cable and hose of spraying system cooling electric motors. Spraying system water pressure provides for operation of auger lifting mechanism jacks. They are connected to electrohydraulic control panel with remote control. Shearer for provision of two-sided shuttle mining may be made of two independent units of mirror-image make assembled with each other through intermediate hollow body lifted with rock or water from spraying system for increase of weight and stability of shearer in cutting of coal by spread augers. Narrow-web unit for coal stoping includes auger shearer, chain snaking conveyor and support units arranged in direction of face advance and connected with conveyor flight. Shearer is made with one auger with built in electric motors and reducing gear, with feed mechanism in the form of electric motor with worm reducing gear and auger lifting hydraulic jack actuated by spraying system water pressure. Conveyor is single-strand type with curved section for moving shearer from drift, along which conveyor drive section is located, and to longwall for cutting. Support is connected with conveyor by means with rear rests. Method of face working includes auger cutting-in, working of top bench with height equaling the auger diameter, lowering of auger down to floor and breakage of lower remaining bench with floor cleaning in shearer backward motion to drift. Auger cutting-in is realized by advancing of single-auger over conveyor curved section from drift with turning in plan. After extraction of lower bench and floor cleaning, single-auger shearer is moved back over conveyor curved section to drift with turning in plan. EFFECT: simplified design, reduced shearer weight and labor intensity in shearer control. 4 cl, 4 dwg
