FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: method involves taking core sample; measuring core sample weight immediately near the tree by means of leverage weigher by balancing core sample with adequate amount of spilled bulk load; measuring geometric sizes of core sample. Under chambered conditions weight of measured amounts of bulk load is determined by means of precise analytical weigher. Method may be used for certification of standing tree wood as well as for ecological evaluation of forests and forest territories. EFFECT: increased test precision by reduced time interval between operations of taking core sample and first weighing of core sample and splits thereof. 4 cl
