METHOD OF TRAPPING HYDROCARBON GASES Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: by-product-coking industry, particularly, trapping of gases liberating from coking products. SUBSTANCE: known method of trapping disposed hydrocarbon gases including suction of hydrocarbon gases through gas ducts and furnace due to draft produced by smoke-deflecting system is supplemented by intensification of gas suction from branch pipe of apparatus of liberation source with the help of draft of gas jet injector installed in gas-suction channel in which gas flow temperature is additionally regulated by means of adding to it both ejection stimulating gas and ingress of atmospheric air. Channel walls temperature is stabilized by means of their thermal safeguard, condensation of hydrocarbon gases (fractions) on channel walls and draining of said fractions back to apparatus-source due to channel inclination towards apparatus-source. In claimed method, ejection stimulating gas is used in the form of air (including hot air) and steam. Method may be supplemented with gas lighting-up operation at their outlet from gas-jet ejector. EFFECT: reduced harmful effluents to atmosphere, excluded deposition of fractions on gas ducts and increased efficiency of coking products. 4 cl
