FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method that may be used in manufacturing standard 2nd class platinum-containing thermoelectric converters whose measurement error is not over 0.6 C includes their verification by comparing their readings with measurement standard of higher class, both being jointly heated in kiln. Novelty is use of standard platinum resistance thermometer as measurement standard of higher class. Hot junction of thermoelectric converter being verified is disposed in center of resistance thermometer working part. Temperature gradient not over 0.4 C is maintained lengthwise of resistance thermometer working part. EFFECT: enhanced metrological characteristics of thermoelectric converter. 2 tbl
