FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment in contact thermometry and is intended for checking thermocouples carried out in calibration interval without dismantling from measured object. According to the disclosed method, the cold junction temperature of the thermocouple is changed, based on the value of its change and the corresponding change in the thermo-EMF, the thermoelectric capacity of the thermocouple is calculated, which is compared with rated static characteristic of thermocouple. Based on the result of comparison, reliability of thermocouple readings and its suitability for measurements are evaluated.
EFFECT: high reliability of checking thermoelectric capacity of thermocouples with simultaneous increase in the temperature of the exploited object.
