FIELD: baking industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves moving dough on carrier side of conveyor belt, with dough being arranged so that its axis is perpendicular to advancement direction; transmitting rotational motion to dough around its axis, when dough comes down from conveyor, to impart rectangular shape thereto; directing rectangular dough to subsequent station. Apparatus has conveyor and dough rolling member arranged in the vicinity of conveyor carrier surface downstream thereof and adapted for transmitting rotational motion to dough movable on conveyor belt around its axis. Dough rolling member is in contact with dough. Gap between dough rolling member and conveyor belt carrier surface may be adjusted.
