CUTTER HEAD FOR CUTTING OUT DISCS IN METALLIC SHEETS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: metal cutting, namely cutting out discs in hard-to-reach places such as "deep wells", mainly in powder engineering and ship making. SUBSTANCE: cutter head includes body; cutter holder connected with mechanism for rotating and axially moving it; apparatus for drilling cut-out discs. Said apparatus has cutter head, sleeve in grooves of which members for fixing cut-out disc are jointly mounted; unit for moving fixing members. In order to extract disc from hard-to-reach places, sleeve with members for fixing disc is mounted on lower end of screw of screw-nut pair for axially moving cutter holder. Unit for moving fixing members is rigidly secured to cutter holder with possibility of embracing fixing members. Upper end of screw of screw-nut pair is mounted in body of cutter head with possibility of rotation and it is kinematically joined with drive unit for rotating cutter holder. Nut of screw-nut pair is rigidly joined with cutter holder. Fixing members may be in the form of gripping levers normally turned one relative to another and arranged uniformly along perimeter of sleeve. Unit for moving fixing members may be in the form of hollow cylinder that may have cone-like turning on inner surface engaged with gripping levers. EFFECT: improved design. 5 cl, 3 dwg
