FIELD: construction engineering, particularly, devices for foam production and methods of their operation. SUBSTANCE: foam generator includes channels for supply of liquid and gaseous components, chamber for their mixing, dispersion chamber filled with dispersing material. Dispersing material is made in the form of chips or tangled wire of ferrous metal coated with copper. Method of foam generator operation provided with dispersion chamber includes washing of dispersing material which is conducted after beginning of silting and reduction of foam generator productivity. Dispersing material is washed, first, with diluted orthophosphoric acid, then with neutralizing solution, and at last, with tap water.
