SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in drives of plants where tightening of flexible working members is required, particularly, in drives of belt conveyors with self-tightening of belt. Proposed drive has driving device for working member, element to shaft driving device to tightening side, electric motor and planetary reduction gear conveying motion to driving device or shifting element. Holes is made on shifting element through which taut wire rope is passed. One end of wire rope loop is secured on outer support. Protection of drive from reactive torque is provided.
