FIELD: medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has cutting instrument having a reciprocating movement drive for setting the cutting string in motion, winding drum and guiding member. Rotatable fastening unit is mounted on electric drive unit. The fastening unit is coupled with a rod. Electric drive unit has stem inside of the fastening unit with driven cable attached to it. The rod has removable support unit mounted on working end and movable coupling member with winding drum. Control cable is fixed on the winding drum. Spring is positioned between the coupling member and washer rigidly attached to the rod. The driven and control cable ends detachable from the cutting string. The driven cable is engageable with the guiding member. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in cutting bones with minimum injuries in operation field tissues. 3 cl, 1 dwg
