STEREOTAXIS DEVICE Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medical equipment, particularly, devices for removal of intracranial hematomas; applicable in neurozurgical operations. SUBSTANCE: device has body with retainers and rod with ball joint secured to body, plate bow, stereotaxis instrument. Device is provided with the second plate bow. Body is made in form of spider to whose arm ends, ends of plate bows are secured by means of lock screws, and provided with longitudinal slots. Rod with ball joint is located in hollow of spider center. Through hole is made over axis of rod with ball joint for accommodation of stereotaxis instrument. Retainers are made in form of levers secured to axes on spider arms and provided with hollows on lower ends, and rods with supporting shoes threaded with spider arms. Installed on spider for rotation round vertical axis is control disk whose first recesses accommodate lever upper ends. Control disk is secured to spider arms by locking screws located in the second recesses of control disk. EFFECT: provided reliable fastening of device to bone edge in any part of patient's scull and delivery of instrument working end to required point with high accuracy. 6 cl, 3 dwg
