FIELD: metallurgy, namely technique for making continuously cast strip from zinc base alloys in plants for ingot-free rolling. SUBSTANCE: method for making continuously cast strip of melt zinc comprises steps of feeding melt through casting nozzle into gap between rolls-crystallizers; crystallization of melt onto surfaces of rolls and subsequent deformation of strip in rolls-crystallizers. Melt fed into casting nozzle has temperature 445-460 C. End of nozzle is spaced by distance 60-65 mm relative to plane passing through axes of rolls. Linear rotation speed of rolls is in range 0.65-0.7 m/min. Melt material is modified due to adding titanium, copper and aluminium in the following ratio, mas.%: titanium, 0.06 - 0.12; copper, 0.10 - 0.17; aluminium, up to 0.015. Initial and final thickness values of strip and linear rotation speed of rolls satisfy to empiric relation v = (0.07-0.09)L/H, where L is deformation zone length, mm; H is final thickness of strip, mm; (0.07-0.09) m/min is dimensional coefficient.
