FIELD: construction industry, repair of buildings. SUBSTANCE: method is related to technology protecting drainage facility of combined roofing with outer water drain against icing. Proposed method consists in installation of structural member in close contact with drainage facility which is capable to maintain positive temperature in zone of their contact in cold season. Structural member comprising metal flange beam with width of its lower flange exceeding width of its upper flange by factor of 5 to 15 is put on layer of vapor-impenetrable material under drainage facility while roofing is mounted or repaired. Thickness of wall and flanges equals 3- 15 mm, height of flange beam amounts to 0.5-0.95 of total thickness of heat insulating and leveling layers located beneath drainage facility of roofing.
