SUBSTANCE: tool for breakage of mineral and artificial materials has working head with hard alloy insert, holder, split clamping bushing with locking member and protective member. Holder has shape of body of revolution and made with bore for accommodation of clamping bushing and circular mounting surface for installation of protective member in its working position and with end part. Protective member is installed on clamping member for axial motion and has through axial hole whose diameter exceeds diameter of mounting surface and is shifted along longitudinal axis of device symmetry relative to end face of clamping bushing facing working head through distance of at least 0.60 and not more than 0.85 of clamping bushing length over the same axis.
