FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed catalyst converter for internal combustion engine has housing with double walls and heat insulation placed in between, intake and outlet branch pipes, cermet porous filters installed in housing in tandem, cylindrical distributor with holes over length and fitted-in head to supply exhaust gases made in form of piston with holes. Sealing corrugated members is secured at one side on piston bottom and at other side, on cylinder end face. Distributor in located in center of housing. Invention is aimed at improving cleaning of exhaust gases, provision of reliability of structure and reducing labour input in service. It increases service life of converter owing to more smooth placing of porous filters into operation. EFFECT: improved efficiency of exhaust gas cleaning. 1 dwg
