SUBSTANCE: combination converter has housing with double walls and heat insulation placed between walls, vibration resonator, outlet branch pipe, inlet branch pipe with tubular moving member arranged in inlet branch pipe and its extension getting into vibration resonator. Movable member is provided with lever to overlap clearances between plates pointed with their wider portion opposite to exhaust gas flow and installed with clearance in between. It has catalytic cleaning matrices made of highly porous cermet and installed coaxially to form space in between into which auxiliary gas channels are brought out. Channels are made with overlapping valves, for instance, electromagnetic valves, which depends on load conditions of engine. Moreover, catalytic converter has electrostatic type soot filter with electrodes arranged over perimeter. Filter is combined with vibration resonator.
