FIELD: artillery armament. SUBSTANCE: wedge breechblock includes wedge mounted for opening with upward movement, shut-off mechanism and hydraulic cylinder linked to wedge. Shut-off mechanism is fitted with closing spring and hydraulic brake coming in the form of two pistons installed in hydraulic cylinder between which partition with throttling hole is placed.
