FIELD: weapon and ammunition.

SUBSTANCE: brake contains the hydraulic cylinder with the assembly of joint with retractable part of the tool and the assembly of joint with the fixed part of the artillery piece, the cylinder, the rod with the piston separating the cylinder into pneumatic and hydraulic cavities, and the hydraulic accumulator. The hydraulic cavity of the hydraulic accumulator is interconnected with the hydraulic cavity of the cylinder by the channel with two valves. One of valves is designed as an adjustable one-seat valve. The second valve is designed as two-seat one with the locking element floating between seats and shutting assembly of the two-seat valve to the required recoil length. The recoil brake may contain the additional hydraulic cylinder installed on the artillery piece with reference to the axis of the barrel channel symmetrically to the first hydraulic cylinder and the having the assembly for connection with retractable part of the artillery piece and the assembly for joining with the fixed part of the artillery piece.
