FIELD: transport power installations for aerospace engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes dragging of approaching air flow, exposing it to cross magnetic field within generator channel, and generating heterogeneous gas-plasma flux carrying current layers. For producing steady current layers use is made of pulsed beams of high-energy electrons supplied in step with motion of current layers over MHD channel. EFFECT: reduced heat energy release in plasma thereby suppressing overheat instability shaping thin current shroud structure. 1 dwg
