FIELD: apiculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting on cylindrical surface of each blank narrow slits arranged at equal angular space along cylinder generatrices so as to provide linear pitch of 4-7 mm in peripheral direction, and along two groups of intersecting helical lines spaced from one another by distance of 4-7 mm and defining with cylinder generatrices and between each other angles of 60 deg. Narrow slits are inclined at an angle of 53-55 deg to cylinder radius at slit intersection points in blank body. It results in formation of roll relief composed of regularly repeated three-faced pyramids with similar slots between them. During rolling of wax plates, said relief provides for production of foundation with cells having optimal parameters for each kind of bee. EFFECT: increased efficiency and improved quality of foundation production rolls. 2 dwg
