FIELD: radiodiagnostics. SUBSTANCE: patient is laid on tomographic table in sideways position, head is slowly drawn back, and x-ray tube is inclined in direction of deviation of head. In the obtained scans, location, shape, and density of both joint head and joint disk itself are determined as well as shape of joint space. If necessary, opposite joint is similarly examined and data obtained are compared. EFFECT: improved determination accuracy.
