MEDICINAL POLYMERIC GEL MATERIAL AND CURATIVE PREPARATIONS MADE UPON ITS BASIS Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

Abstract RU 2198685 C1

FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: the innovation deals with synthetic polymeric gel material of medicinal indication and curative products based upon this material, particularly, binding means for treating wounds, skin lesions including thermal ones (burns, frostbites); trophic ulcers of different etiology (diabetic, venous, posttraumatic and others); for applications in oncological patients after irradiation; moreover, this material could be used in cosmetology. Polymeric gel material is an organoinorganic hybrid - product of combination of siliconcontaining product and water-soluble synthetic organic polymer into integrated structure. Material is obtained due to structurally-chemical transformations in aqueous polymeric solutions at addition of either sols of polysilicic acid and alkaline agents (for example, ammonium hydroxide) or different ethers of orthosilicates both in combination with each other and individually similar to the well-known methods. Developed material as a single matrix, as a rule, is absolutely transparent and possesses high elastic properties. Matrix could be either soft, of average density or solid. Material is nontoxic, biocompatible, could modulate the surface of any shape and fill any cavity, it could, also, be the foundation to immobilize biologically active additives, enzymes, medicinal and cellular forms. Gel material suggested could be applied either individually or upon any foundation, for example, tricot or polymeric netting. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 8 cl, 3 ex, 2 tbl
