FIELD: fine cleaning of gases from aerosols. SUBSTANCE: method may be applicable in processes associated, first of all, with trapping and neutralization of various effluents into atmosphere, such as radioactive aerosols, toxic, aggressive and dangerously explosive contaminants sizing less than 5 mcm. Method includes the following procedures: mixing of water jets at velocity from 20 to 50 m/s with gas to be cleaned in ratio of gas weight consumption to water weight consumption from 0.00001 to 0.05 with formation of supersonic two-phase equilibrium mixture; cross movement of water drops with submicron contaminant particles with the help of jumps of packings, for which purpose, supersonic two-phase equilibrium mixture is braked; provision of excessive content of steam in cleaned gas due to maintaining water temperature within range from 303 to 343 K; condensation of steam excess contained in gas due to cooling down to temperature 15-55 K below water temperature and separation of condensed water. Device for method embodiment includes closed circuit of hydraulic cleaning consists of successively installed liquid ejector, separator, settling tank and pump with drive. Apparatus is used in the form of screen installed in settling tank and separating it into two halves: receptory to which two-phase mixture is supplied from ejector, and discharge connected with cooler-condenser cooled with flowing water or with ambient air and with water intake with gauge filter connected by means of tube with electrically driven pump. Screen is installed at an angle of 10-60 deg to two-phase mixture flowing from ejector. EFFECT: higher degree of gas cleaning. 3 cl, 3 dwg
