FIELD: tire industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of pneumatic tire bead. Tire is made with radial carcass and relatively small value of ratio H/S where H is height of pneumatic tire on mounting rim and S is maximum axial width of mounting of rim. At least one bead of tire is provided with outer bulge in axial direction whose maximum axial width exceeds overall size of mounting rim J. Cuts are made on bulge of width and depth not exceeding 5 mm arranged circumferentially parallel to each other. EFFECT: increased wear resistance of tire on contact with kerb stone. 4 cl, 3 dwg
