FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to isolation of niobium from concentrated solutions containing niobium, tantalum and titanium. Niobium is extracted from solutions with 9-10 M HCl concentration containing 5-25 g/l of Nb2O5, 0.3-2.0 g/l of Ta2O5 and 40-80 g/l of TiO2. Organic extractant comprises, vol. %: acetophenone, 30- 50; triisooctylamine, 20-40; inert dilution agent, the balance. Niobium is transferred to organic phase and tantalum and titanium are remained in aqueous phase. Invention provides enhancement of degree of niobium extraction to organic phase up to 95.7-98.9%, rise of partition coefficients of niobium and titanium and niobium and tantalum in concentrated solutions, improvement of hydrodynamic indices of process.
