FIELD: organic chemistry, proteins, biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention describes peptide of the formula: Asp-Glu-Asn-Pro-Val-Val-His-Phe-Phe-Lys-Asn-Ile-Val-Thr- - Pro-Arg-Thr that is able to neutralize or modulate formation of antimyelin basic protein. Peptide can be used for treatment of patients with cerebrospinal sclerosis and it exhibits the more activity as compared with that of myelin basic protein. Peptide does not exhibit toxicity and immunogenic properties. Invention describes also pharmaceutical composition comprising peptide and method of treatment of patients with cerebrospinal sclerosis.
