FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves recording arterial and venous blood electrocoagulograms in the day a patient is admitted in hospital. Coagulographic index of lethal outcome (CILO) is calculated from formula CILO = T2a-T2b-500(T1a/T2a)+270, where is the coagulographic index of lethal outcome, T2a and T2b is the time of arterial and venous blood formation in seconds, T1a is the arterial blood coagulation activation time (s). Negative CILO value shows high probability of lethal outcome that is higher than 90%. CILO value being from 0 to +100, dangerous zone with lethal outcome probability being less than 50% is predicted. The value being greater than 100, low lethal outcome probability less than 15% is to be predicted. EFFECT: high accuracy and simplified prognosis method. 1 tbl
