FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: substance of the method for prediction of development of exotoxic shock in the patients with acute toxic exposure to acetic acid consists in determining the aggregation ability of thrombocytes with considering a lymphocytic-thrombocyte adhesion index, and calculating an exotoxic shock development coefficient (K). If K≤1, high risk of development of exotoxic shock is predicted.
EFFECT: application of said method allows for high-reliable prediction of exotoxic shock in acute toxic exposure to acetic acid that ensures well-timed treatment-and-prophylactic measures intended to prevent unfavorable outcome of said disease.
