FIELD: gas-discharge engineering; high- voltage gas-discharge devices. SUBSTANCE: proposed gas-filled discharger may be used for instance in developing peaker-discharges of X-ray and electron beams, as well as nanosecond high-voltage pulses for small-size pulse generators. Gas-filled discharger has envelope built of flanged metal case and insulator in the form of hollow truncated cone, two opposing electrodes of which one is secured on inner butt-end surface of case and other, on smaller base of insulator whose larger base is joined with case flanging, as well as electrode lead passed through insulator and having section in the form of truncated cone and cylindrical section; novelty is that lead section made in the from of truncated cone is joined through its smaller base with electrode and through its larger base, with intermediate section in the form of body of revolution, the latter being in its turn connected to cylindrical section; mating ends of all sections have same diameter. EFFECT: enhanced electric strength of insulator, increased service life and reliability of discharger. 2 dwg
