FIELD: high-voltage pulse engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed generator that functions to generate short heavy-current high-voltage pulses for X-ray, high-frequency, and other apparatuses has coaxial generating line incorporating internal and external conductors, generating-line pulsed charge-voltage source, and peaker-gap in metal case. Generator casing functions as external conductor. Internal conductor of generating line is made in the form of hollow shell with one of peaker-gap electrodes connected to its bottom. Part of peaker-gap case is disposed inside shell and its other part, inside generator casing; peaker-gap is provided with two taper insulators coaxially arranged relative to its case. EFFECT: reduced size and mass at same service life and reliability of pulse generator. 2 cl, 2 dwg
