METHOD FOR TREATING ADHESIVE INTESTINAL OBSTRUCTION Russian patent published in 2003 - IPC

FIELD: medicine, surgery. SUBSTANCE: in case of adhesive intestinal obstruction at development of adhesive conglomerate out of intestinal loops one should isolate small intestine out of adhesions at the distance of 100 cm. Between small intestine and colon at the level of tenia libera one should apply jejunotransversoanastomosis of "side-into-side" type. Moreover, small intestine is placed along the axis cross- sectionally against colon. In case of dilatation of intestinal loops it is necessary to cross small intestine at the distance of 12-15 cm against infiltrate. Distal end of small intestine is withdrawn onto anterior abdominal wall. At the absence of dilatation of intestinal loops operative interference is limited by applying jejunotransversoanastomosis without any crossing small intestine. EFFECT: decreased number of complications.
