FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery. The method involves a unilateral surgical isolation of high, limited, immature, draining jejunal fistulas. A jejunal segment leading to the fistula is marked to be palpated intraoperatively. A gastroduodenoscope is used to insert an endoscopic catheter into the jejunum leading to the fistula through the same or orally. A dense catheter is palpated through the intestinal wall. A leading portion of the small intestine fixed by the adhesions is exposed by manual isolation from a posterior and blunt approach.
EFFECT: method provides the accurate unilateral isolation of the high, immature jejunal fistula, which keeps functioning as a definitive Maydle's jejunal tube, unloading the enteroenteroanastomosis, reducing the length of the operation, reducing the invasiveness, and eliminating the risk of de-serous treatment of the intestine.
