FIELD: hydrometallurgy, namely electrochemical recovery of metallic rhodium out of solutions of rhodium in hydrochloric acid containing additives. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of recovering metallic rhodium on cathode of electrolyzer having non-soluble anode due to applying DC with density 25 - 400 A/sq.dm from solution having concentration of hydrochloric acid in range 1 - 6 mol/cu.dm. Cathode and anode spaces are divided by ion exchange membrane. Process of recovering rhodium from solutions with rhodium concentration 0.005 - 0.25 mol/cu.dm is the most effective. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of recovery highly purified rhodium, lowered loss of rhodium, decreased labor consumption and cost, shortened time period of process, improved labor condition in zone of recovering, possibility for recovering rhodium in large range of its concentration. 2 cl, 2 tbl, 1 ex
