FIELD: geophysics; prospecting.

SUBSTANCE: described method has to be combination of two and more methods and techniques which can be used for exploration and prospecting of carbon beds as non-traditional collectors of absorbed methane and for revealing of free gas accumulation in carbon opencast collieries for production of carbon methane. Method intends for study and preparation of methane-carbon deposits for exploration and includes field works, registration, subsequent combined processing and geological interpretation of data of multi-wave seismic prospecting by means of common depth point method, three-component vertical seismic profiling and geophysical inspection of wells. Data of multi-wave seismic prospecting are registered by means of common depth point method simultaneously onto on-ground azimuth profiles passing the well and directly inside the well in at least one point which is chosen inside zone of dislocation of metal-carbon collectors.
