FIELD: manual portable tools for pinching metallic pipelines, possibly prevention of emergency situations, performing repairing and other operations in pneumatic and hydraulic circuits of spacecrafts in outer space. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for pinching metallic pipelines includes housing, powered brace with die and punch. Die and punch are joined with power drive unit. Powered brace is in the form of detachable head joined with housing by threaded joint and it is provided with sleeve for arresting rod of punch. Working edges of die and punch have limiters for limiting residual deformation of pipelines such as flat recessed portions. Power drive unit includes set of rings made of material with shape memory effect, electric heater mounted on thermally conducting paste inside it, heat insulation in the form of washers and tubes of heat-resistant high-strength material. EFFECT: safety working of operator in space suit in hard-to-reach zones, realization of visual control of pinching operation, necessary fluid-tightness and strength of pinched place of pipeline, lowered mass and size of apparatus, minimum energy consumption. 9 dwg
