FIELD: shipbuilding; building of floating off-shore platforms. SUBSTANCE: proposed platform is provided with above-water structure which is supported by one or several vertical pillars. Each pillar has body of arbitrary form, designer s waterline of any configuration and center of gravity located below center of buoyancy. Body of pillar above and below designer s waterline has section whose height is equal to double amplitude of wave of maximum swell of water basin; it is made in form of body narrowing upward; its outer surface is inclined to vertical axis of pillar. Magnitude of double angle of inclination ranges from 10 to 140 deg. Above-water structure is located on one and more pillars supported by above-water pontoon. EFFECT: reduction of ship s motions; enhanced stability. 3 cl, 2 dwg
