FIELD: petrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: propane-propene mixture and water are subjected to liquid-phase chemical interaction in presence of acid porous cationite catalyst in one or several consecutive reaction zones. Level of water in catalyst is maintained between 15 and 40 wt % and temperature between 100 and 150o. Process is carried out in presence of pressure-reducing hydrocarbon solvent or isopropyl alcohol. Water is fed into reaction zone(s) in batch mode in summary amount essentially equal to sum of its amounts consumed on chemical interaction and withdrawn from reaction zone(s) in unbound chemical state. Reaction mixture is separated by rectification. EFFECT: simplified technology. 15 cl, 3 dwg, 8 ex
